In 2010, Sister entered the Health Care Center where she continued her outreach ministry to others. The Sisters of St. Joseph of Fall River merged with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield in 1974. July 31, 1954 February 4, 2022 on August 27, 2011. Sister Mary entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield from Our Lady Fatima Parish, Worcester in 1956. Michael was born on December 30, 1962 in Michigan City, IN to Darrell and Wanda (Wilkie) Gifford. She served as secretary at the Diocesan Religious Education Office, Springfield. Sister Thomasine Knowlton, CSJ. She earned a bachelor's degree from the College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee, MA. In her retirement she resided in Bennington, continuing her warm association with former students, colleagues and friends. She taught in the schools of the Worcester Diocese at St. Stephen School, Worcester and St. Joseph School, Leicester; in the Springfield Diocese at Holy Rosary School, Holyoke and in the Providence Diocese at St. Joseph School, Newport and St. Francis School, Warwick. Sister Conway entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Vermont in 1944 from St. Peter Parish, Rutland, Vermont. In addition to her Sisters in Community, Sister is survived by her sister Margaret Konkol and several loving nieces and nephews. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Mont Marie Cemetery. She also ministered for many years in the Spanish Apostolate in Holyoke in pastoral work and religious education, as a teacher of homeless children in Falmouth and in Greenhouse Management at New Alchemy Institute, Falmouth. She was Principal of Sacred Heart School in Pittsfield. Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sister Marian Niemann, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at Nazareth Living Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Most recently, Sister Judith volunteered at Mary Mother of Hope Church. She then became Director of Religious Education at Holy Name Parish, Springfield and subsequently Consultant in Religious Education for the Diocese of Springfield. She studied at I'Institut Catholique and the Sorbonne, Paris, France.
